I am a compassionate and attentive psychiatric provider who values building a strong therapeutic alliance with each client. I believe that trust, empathy, and open communication are essential for effective care. My approach is collaborative and individualized, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to each person’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their mental health journey.

Why I Chose Psychiatry

Why not Psychiatry? I chose psychiatry because I genuinely enjoy people. I enjoy their lives, their journeys, and their unique differences. This field allows me the privilege of meeting individuals at various points in their lives, whether they are facing challenges, celebrating successes, or navigating transitions. I am drawn to the opportunity to walk alongside my patients, providing guidance, support, and evidence-based care to help them overcome obstacles and foster personal growth.

For self-care and fun, I enjoy playing musical instruments like the piano, bass guitar and drums. I also enjoy exploring nature through hiking, and following my favorite sports teams; the San Francisco 49ers and the Sacramento Kings

Finding a reliable and excellent provider to diagnose my ADHD has been extremely difficult. One of the challenges for me is that there is not a lot of availability with providers who take my insurance. I got in fairly quickly here, within about five days, because they ran my eligibility and got back to me so I knew what the cost would be. It has been a low stress experience overall. I feel much better equipped to handle life and to make more progress with my education. The assessment is very tailored to me, with very specific recommendations. It does not feel generic at all, which is something I noticed with my last provider. My psychiatric NP takes longer with visits, and I think that makes a difference.
