My provider was great. Really helped me through a dark time through a combination of meds, sounds, and other ways to cope.

Hi, I’m Nick.
Most people come to me feeling low, unfocused, and drained, and wanting to get back to the person they used to be. Many aren’t sure whether what they’re dealing with is depression, anxiety, ADHD, or some mix of all three. There is a lot of overlap between them, and sorting it out takes time and a careful look at the whole picture.
That’s the part I care most about. I take the time to listen, get to know you and what’s going on in your life, and build a plan with you rather than for you. Patients often tell me they feel heard in my visits, sometimes for the first time after seeing other providers.
I also make sure you understand your care: what the diagnosis means, why a medication might help, and what we are trying to accomplish. You should never leave a visit wondering why we’re doing what we’re doing.
If that sounds like the kind of care you’re looking for, I’d be glad to work with you.
I work with adults across a wide range of mental health concerns. People commonly come to me for:
Together we’ll look at the whole picture and build a plan that fits your life.
My path into psychiatry started right out of school, when I took a job as a psychiatric care technician on an inpatient unit. In my first week there I worked with a patient who was so unwell she seemed almost absent. Within a few days of starting treatment she was herself again, and you would never have known anything had been wrong.
That stayed with me. I saw how much good psychiatric care can change someone’s life, and I’ve wanted to do this work ever since.
My approach today is collaborative. Medication is often part of the plan, but it is never the whole plan. I’m a strong believer in lifestyle changes, like exercise, nutrition, and sleep, because I’ve seen what they do for both physical and mental health. We’ll find small, realistic steps, often just 10 to 15 minutes a day, that help settle your stress response and improve how you feel day to day. I also provide supportive therapy as part of our visits.
If you’re unsure about medication, that’s okay. We’ll talk through your concerns openly, and nothing moves forward until we agree on it. If medication isn’t right for you right now, I’ll help you find other ways to get support, including connecting you with a therapist.

Outside of work I stay active with weightlifting and exercise, which is part of why I believe so strongly in lifestyle changes. I play guitar, enjoy video games, and read a lot of history, and ancient civilizations are a particular favorite.

I am a nurse who was struggling with workplace anxiety and panic attacks. I have always steered towards being treated by nurse practitioners and my provider has been extremely helpful.
