Jonathan listened to my concerns and addressed all the questions I had regarding treatment.

Hi, I’m Maureen.
Most people come to me tired — overwhelmed, stuck, or pushing through on their own for longer than they should have had to. Sometimes they know exactly what’s wrong. Often they just know that something isn’t right.
What we do together is slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and look at the options side by side. I want to understand your life from your perspective, because the better I understand you as a person, the better the care I can give you.
You will never leave one of my appointments feeling like a decision was made for you. My job is to listen, give you honest, high-quality advice, lay out the choices, and then make the decision with you.
Whoever you are and whatever you’re coming in for, what you’ll get from me is dignity, respect, and high-quality care. If that’s the kind of care you’re looking for, I’d be glad to meet you.

I work with adults across a wide range of mental health concerns. People commonly come to me for:
I welcome patients of every background, and I work regularly with LGBTQIA+ patients and with veterans.
Together we’ll look at the whole picture and build a plan that fits your life.
When I was an undergraduate, a close friend of mine was going through serious mental health challenges, and she turned to me. I told her I thought she needed help, and that I would help her find it. What I learned in the process was how hard that is — and when she finally did get care, it wasn’t good care.
Watching someone I loved go through that, and feeling helpless alongside her, is what set my direction. I wanted the access to be better and the quality to be better. I considered several paths into healthcare and found psychiatric nursing, and it was the right fit.
I chose to work as a nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner, which turned out to be one of the most valuable decisions I made. I still think about my inpatient days all the time when I’m practicing.
My approach now starts with getting to know you. I’m genuinely interested in people — all kinds of jobs, backgrounds, beliefs, and lives — and respect is a large part of how I practice. The more someone trusts you, the more they’ll tell you, and the more they tell you, the more you can actually help.
I lean on motivational interviewing, on education, and on supportive listening. I find that explaining what’s happening is empowering: people come back to the next visit understanding their own condition, and the changes hold better when you arrived at them yourself.
And everything you tell me stays between us. That’s not a policy I follow, it’s something I take seriously and permanently.

Jonathan listened to my concerns and addressed all the questions I had regarding treatment.
I am very happy with how easy this is compared to in person appointments. I was a little hesitant about doing an online appointment initially because I did not know if it would be the same quality. It definitely works great, and I like that I can be on my break and do a quick appointment. I was a few minutes late to my first appointment, but Charlene waited for me, and it all worked out with getting the right treatment. I appreciate how much she cares and makes a difference.
The appointment is not rushed at all, which I appreciate. We talked for a few minutes initially about what I wanted to address for my symptoms. I actually was not sure. I find appointments overwhelming because I do not always know how they are going to go. In this case we covered a lot of information and pretty much everything I wanted. I did have an issue with the pharmacy saying they did not receive it, but Jonathan quickly followed up and it honestly was not his fault. We resent it to another pharmacy and it worked out. I suggest people call their pharmacy first these days, because pharmacies are so disorganized.
