Meet Me

Hi, I’m Nick.

Most people come to me feeling low, unfocused, and drained, and wanting to get back to the person they used to be. Many aren’t sure whether what they’re dealing with is depression, anxiety, ADHD, or some mix of all three. There is a lot of overlap between them, and sorting it out takes time and a careful look at the whole picture.

That’s the part I care most about. I take the time to listen, get to know you and what’s going on in your life, and build a plan with you rather than for you. Patients often tell me they feel heard in my visits, sometimes for the first time after seeing other providers.

I also make sure you understand your care: what the diagnosis means, why a medication might help, and what we are trying to accomplish. You should never leave a visit wondering why we’re doing what we’re doing.

If that sounds like the kind of care you’re looking for, I’d be glad to work with you.

Conditions I Help With

I work with adults across a wide range of mental health concerns. People commonly come to me for:

  • Depression, low energy, and low motivation
  • Anxiety, stress, and burnout
  • ADHD and difficulty focusing
  • Focus problems where anxiety, depression, and ADHD overlap
  • Obsessive thoughts and compulsions (OCD)
  • Bipolar disorder and mood changes
  • Trouble sleeping and the effect it has on mood
  • Feeling stuck, or not like yourself
  • Medication management as part of a holistic plan
  • Supportive therapy alongside medication management

Together we’ll look at the whole picture and build a plan that fits your life.

Why I Chose Psychiatry

My path into psychiatry started right out of school, when I took a job as a psychiatric care technician on an inpatient unit. In my first week there I worked with a patient who was so unwell she seemed almost absent. Within a few days of starting treatment she was herself again, and you would never have known anything had been wrong.

That stayed with me. I saw how much good psychiatric care can change someone’s life, and I’ve wanted to do this work ever since.

My approach today is collaborative. Medication is often part of the plan, but it is never the whole plan. I’m a strong believer in lifestyle changes, like exercise, nutrition, and sleep, because I’ve seen what they do for both physical and mental health. We’ll find small, realistic steps, often just 10 to 15 minutes a day, that help settle your stress response and improve how you feel day to day. I also provide supportive therapy as part of our visits.

If you’re unsure about medication, that’s okay. We’ll talk through your concerns openly, and nothing moves forward until we agree on it. If medication isn’t right for you right now, I’ll help you find other ways to get support, including connecting you with a therapist.

“I want you to understand why we’re doing what we’re doing, and to feel like we’re in this together.” – Nicholas Wright works with you to build a plan you understand and agree with.

A Bit About Me

I highly recommend this if you are looking for fast, efficient, and longer visits. My assessment with Charlene went very well. I came away with great clarity and understanding of what I need to do for my school accommodations. She gave me a clear plan going forward. She makes the paperwork very easy, which I appreciate for getting my ADHD accommodations. I have not needed the messaging between visits yet, but it is there and it looks easy to access. I have the app so I can get questions answered. I like that I do not have to call for things. Calling is still an option, but messaging makes it easier because I work long days.

On my first visit I was thoroughly impressed. Within minutes, Jonathan identified a medication that had been causing side effects that I had been on for a long time from my primary care provider. I definitely will not be taking that anymore after I talk to them about it. Great first appointment and an excellent provider. He listens to me and did not dismiss my symptoms at all. He understood quickly what my main symptoms are. What I like is that he helped me prioritize what is most important to address first, and he explained how treating my main symptoms first would benefit the other symptoms. A great way of simplifying it, and I feel genuinely supported.

I honestly did not know what I had going on. I just knew it was hard for me to focus. I spent a lot of time doing online research. I wish I had gotten into one of these services previously, but it was hard because I did not have insurance. It is nice that they take a lot of insurances and the billing is easy and not a headache, unlike other places where you have to go through a bunch of hoops to get a real human being. Very easy to reach somebody. I just send a message and Charlene responds within a day. I have not had any bad experiences here. I would definitely recommend it to somebody wanting evaluation and treatment for ADHD or other mental health conditions.
